Summary
In the article the author analyses the image of Roma in the newspaper Jurnal de Chișinău. The article represents a study concerning the attitude of the journalists towards this minority, the topics covered by the journalists within the analized materials, the revealing of the situations touched upon in association with Roma. This way we show that the newspaper Jurnal de Chișinău practices a discourse with the negative attitude towards Roma, presenting the actions of this ethnic group and the events, in which members of this community are involved, emphasizing the negative and conflicting side. As for the personalities of Roma ethnic group, famous around the world, they are not linked with ethnic origin.
